Video Calls are Tiring

We have spent the better part of our life on video calls in the last few years. They are for the most part, tiring and unproductive. The more there are in a meeting the less everyone has a say. Let's try to make smaller groups, shorter calls and come online with a specific topic in mind.

Turning off video and sitting to the side also can help in a way. I've found that something like a voice call or a slack huddle and shared screen or document is much more effective. Digital whiteboards are not as fluent using the mouse. Maybe with a digital tablet or touch pad it might be more effective.

Let's keep those video calls short, on point and productive.
